Warehouse staff who fit into your shifts

Shifts agreed in advance

We agree the start times, the shifts per week and any night shifts with you.

One regular contact person

You call our team about planning, schedules and changes.

Certificates in the proposal

The proposal shows which certificates the candidate holds, such as EPT or forklift.

Planning for the peak

Discuss extra people for the fourth quarter or Mother's Day early, so we can plan with you.

Certificates we discuss for each candidate

If a candidate does not yet hold a certificate, we discuss with you how this will be arranged.

EPT certificate

Often asked for

For working with an electric pallet truck. The training usually takes one day.

Forklift or reach truck certificate

Often asked for

The law requires competence, and in practice warehouses ask for this certificate.

VCA Basic

Sometimes asked for

This VCA safety certificate is rarely needed in distribution centres, but often on industrial sites.

Planning around peaks and shifts

Peaks in autumn and spring

The fourth quarter is busy because of Black Friday and Christmas. The flower trade adds Valentine's Day and Mother's Day.

Two or three shifts

We plan people for early, late, night and weekend shifts, in the flower trade sometimes from 05:00.

A week or a season

Workers join you for a few days, a peak period or longer, as agreed in advance.

From your request to the first working day

At every step you deal with our team.

  1. You tell us who you need

You call us or fill in the request with the occupation, the number of people and the start date.

  2. We discuss the work

We contact you about the tasks, the working hours and the requirements for the people.

  3. We propose candidates

You receive candidates who suit the work, with their experience and their certificates.

  4. The worker starts

Groos arranges the contract and the pay, and we stay in touch with you for as long as the assignment runs.

What the law requires when you hire workers

  • The worker receives equivalent pay, meaning a package at least equal to that of your permanent staff in the same role.
  • Under the Working Conditions Act, you as the hirer provide instruction and a safe workplace, also at loading docks and cold stores.
  • As the hirer, you can be liable for payroll taxes that the agency does not pay.

What the Wtta means for you

Questions about hiring logistics staff

Can your people drive a forklift or reach truck?

That differs per candidate. We ask in advance which vehicles you use and propose candidates with the matching certificate.

Can you provide extra people in the fourth quarter?

Yes, and the earlier you discuss the peak with us, the better we can plan. Tell us the people and shifts you need per week.

Do your people work in shifts?

Yes, we look for people for early, late and night shifts. The proposal shows for each candidate which shifts they can work.

What pay does the worker receive?

The worker receives equivalent pay. The collective labour agreement (cao) or pay scheme for a comparable role at your company sets the wage, including allowances for nights and weekends.

Can they work in a cold store or freezer?

Yes, if the candidate knows this in advance and agrees. You provide cold weather clothing, and we tell the candidate about the temperature.

What does a logistics worker cost per hour?

The rate depends on the role, the certificates, the shifts and the duration. After your request, we send you a proposal with a clear hourly rate.

Need more people in the busy weeks?

Tell us how many people you need, for which shifts and from when. We will contact you to go through the planning.

Do you need people at short notice? Then call us directly.
